#1password vs keychain reddit code
You have access only through a convoluted method to see the password (assuming it's not autofilled) and you can't access non-password entries from the Cloud Keychain.įor example I keep my credit card code in a note in the Keychain but I can't access that note with iOS. The big fault in iCloud Keychain is not on the macOS side, it's on the iOS side. Seems to me as long as it generates a good password and saves it then you're good to go for most cases. However more features doesn't always mean better especially when features are just for comparison charts. I'm not arguing that 1Password is not more featured - it certainly is. Naturally iOS has only the Safari type of password generation which is groups of 3 random characters separated by delimiters. MacOS Password manager has 4 or 5 options of password types with a value for length. This subreddit is not endorsed or sponsored by Apple Inc.
